Podington, Hinwick and Farndish - The Story of a Bedfordshire Parish
Helen Day, the author, spent many hours writing about Podington and its people, especially in the first half of the century of which there is little or no record. Some of this had been told to her by the older residents past and present, some comes from the early records of the Podington Womens' Institute, and some from the village scrap book. Indeed, after having lived in the parish for 50 years she was herself part of the history of the village and, as a scholar and activist in local affairs, well qualified to record it.
